A well-balanced ±13-acre tract (Lot 2) at the end of a gravel dead-end road between Harlowe Creek and Core Creek - the kind of small acreage that's getting harder to find in Carteret County. Approximately 5.5 acres are open and tillable, with the remaining acreage in timber. That combination gives a buyer a ready-made building site or garden spot on the front end and mature cover behind it - plenty of room to plant a food plot, run a few head of livestock, or simply enjoy the quiet. The tract has approximately 280 linear feet of frontage on Hardesty Farm Road, a gravel dead-end, so traffic is limited to the folks who live on it. Power is already at the road, making this an easy tract to build on without the added expense of running service a long distance. For a buyer who wants privacy without being remote, this is a hard setup to beat. The surrounding area supports whitetail deer, Eastern wild turkey, and black bear, and the coastal amenities of Beaufort, Morehead City, and Havelock are a comfortable drive away, with the Croatan National Forest and area waterways offering additional public hunting, fishing, and boating opportunities. This tract is being divided out of a larger ±30-acre parcel. Buyer is responsible for the survey cost of the tract purchased and for any perc testing required for septic approval. Small tracts with open ground, timber, road frontage, and power at the road don't last long in this market.
