Market trends come and go, but one truth remains constant in Southport: life and business gather where the Cape Fear meets the sea. Positioned directly within the Southport Business District and steps from the downtown historic core, this property represents an exceptionally rare commercial waterfront canvas. Originally the Willis Basin and Boatyard, it was handpicked by the Cape Fear River Pilots for its unmatched deep-water positioning offering commanding views, immediate access by land and sea, and guaranteed pedestrian and maritime traffic. Crucial entitlements have been secured including permits in place for dredging, an excavated upland basin, and dedicated boat slips. Whether envisioned as a premier boutique hotel, signature waterfront dining, a private maritime club, or luxury mixed-use development, this is a clean-slate opportunity to build a landmark the Lower Cape Fear has never seen. The Willis Basin is where Maritime Heritage Meets Generational Opportunity.
